  1. Dr Sunil Abraham Thomas and Ms Thasni Navas, was part of the Gifted Children Programme initiative of the Government of Kerala, engaging sessions on Economic issues for selected school children at Union Christian College, Aluva (18 th November 2023)
  2. The department carried out two community extension activities in 2023. One is regarding Prevalence of Lifestyle diseases in Karumalloor Panchayat. Second one is on The Awareness of general public about various government schemes in Alangad Panchayat. The reports of the study carried out was handed over to the concerned Panchayat presidents which could help them in drafting new policies

  3. Students of the department gave an orientation regarding the relevance and scope of higher education in Economics to the higher secondary students of Alwaye Settlement school (04/11/2022)
