Erudite – Scholar in Residence Programme
The department hosted the prestigious ’Erudite Scholar in Residence Programme’ sponsored by Kerala State Higher Education Council, in association with St Berchman’s College , Changanassery on 31st July 2018. Prof Vamsi Vakulabharanam, Associate Professor from the University of Massachussetts delivered two lectures on “ Growth and inequality in India after 1980s: A class Perspective’’ and ‘’Reading Das Capital’.
The programme included lectures by the Visiting Professor, interaction with the research scholars and work in progress evaluation of research activities of research scholars, interaction with a targeted audience of selected students and teachers of nearby colleges etc.
